Weddings and Renewal of Vows

Holy Trinity Nice is a magnificent church in which to be married, with its long aisle, fine pipe organ and beautiful churchyard and surroundings. Fr Jeremy will be delighted to discuss your particular requirements and assist you in the planning of your special service.

For those who have been married for some time and want to celebrate their marriage by reaffirming their marriage vows, we offer a service of Thanksgiving for Holy Matrimony (Marriage). This is particularly suitable for those celebrating an anniversary or maybe even after a time of difficulty and/or separation to recommit themselves to each other in the presence of God.

Baptisms

Baptism (also called Christening) is one of the great sacraments of the church.

We baptise both children and adults. Baptisms for children normally take place at the Sunday Eucharist, and for adults at the Easter Vigil, on the Saturday evening before Easter day.

Everyone is welcome to explore baptism in one of our churches. If you are considering this, Fr Jeremy will be happy to meet with you to discuss what being baptised means and what will happen at the service.

You may find it helpful to look at the Church of England website to find out more about baptism.  www.churchofenglandchristenings.org

Funerals and Memorial Services

A funeral marks the end of a person’s life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived, and commend the person into God’s keeping.

Whether a person attended church during their life or not, they can have a Christian funeral presided over by the Chaplain. Whether or not you are a regular churchgoer, or are uncertain about what to expect, Fr Jeremy will plan with you what is appropriate in the circumstances. (See also  www.churchofenglandfunerals.org

If friends and family have been unable to attend a loved one's funeral and want to celebrate their life, we are able to offer a Memorial Service. Fr Jeremy will again be happy to discuss and arrange an appropriate service with you.
