Joelle and Keith Paterson pulled off an immense success with the Holy Trinity Christmas Market that they organised for us last Saturday, which raised over €2,500 for Holy Trinity. Following months of preparation, they and over twenty other volunteers provided us with a perfect start to the festive season.

The talents and generosity of those who contributed gifts for sale were showcased on the different stalls with Christmas decorations and cards, jewellery, household items, beautiful works of art, children’s activities, homemade jam, chutney, mincemeat and cakes

Visitors enjoyed a range of refreshments including barbecued hamburgers and sausages, baked treats and ever-popular mulled wine.

Our talented choir performed traditional carols, their voices heralding the Christmas Spirit and many in the audience joined in.

The raffle was an outstanding success. A wide range of over forty prizes, generously donated by church members and others, included an impressive four-finned surfing board, fine champagne and a two litre bottle of rosé!

And of course Santa popped by to hand out gifts to the children and others!
Then once the market had finished everyone worked as a team to dismantle and store everything away.

Finally, the volunteers were rewarded for their hard work with a special meal prepared by Joelle, to celebrate the hard work and team effort that had made the day possible and for us all to toast Joelle and Keith for the amazing event they had organised.
