What a success!

On Tuesday 7th January at 12.30 pm Holy Trinity church was full of music lovers who had come to enjoy the first in a series of monthly lunchtime concerts, Moments musicaux which aims to raise funds to restore the church pipe organ.

Margi MacDuffie, whose exquisite violin playing we are fortunate enough to hear every Sunday, has devised and organised this concert series which offers a musical interlude in the middle of the day: "un moment musical" in a beautiful venue.

For this first concert Margi played violin accompanied by Jean-Marie Foucard on the piano. The programme included pieces by Bach, Schumann, Bridge, Beach and Franck. Jean-Marie also played the organ. The rapturous applause was testimony to the audience’s appreciation of this inspiring musical experience.

Future concerts will take place on the first Tuesday of the month from 12.30 to 1.15 pm and admission is free (with donations for the restoration of our church organ).

This first concert raised an astounding amount - over €1,000!

Huge thanks to Margi and to Jean-Marie
