A service of celebration and thanksgiving for the life of Michael Healy took place on 13th February. Michael had died on 3rd February 2026 and was well-known to members of Holy Trinity, particularly in connection with the Royal British Legion whose local branch he chaired for many years.

Michael had lived on the French Riviera since 1973, settling in Beaulieu sur Mer with his second wife Regina and founding and running a business that provided navigational supplies to yachts. Prior to moving to France he had served in the Royal Navy in a number of senior posts.
Michael's tireless work for the Royal British Legion raised over €250,000. He gave unstintingly of his time and energy to support many who had fallen on hard times, be they ex-servicemen or ex-servicewomen or others. To mark his tireless activity in helping and supporting so many British and others in the South of France, he was awarded the MBE in 1997, which was presented to him by the late Queen at Buckingham Palace.
The Royal British Region remains active locally so if you are interested in joining or finding out more about it then please contact George Fortune at gdfassoc@gmail.com
